First and foremost, I am not a medical professional.  I am not a doctor, nurse, medic, EMT, firefighter, etc.  This section of my site is NOT intended to give medical advice and if you're stupid enough to take anything I say as such you're on your own!

The purpose of this section is to serve as a repository for information related to relative size, cost, complexity etc. of various elements of an "Individual First Aid Kit" (IFAK) or "Blow Out Kit (BOK) for personal use.  In an effort to understand this subject better myself I have chosen to forgo purchasing a ready-made kit and instead am buying various pieces of gear and trying to learn about their relative merits myself.

The below links are to the various sub-sections herein.  As I accumulate gear I find that there is just too much information for a single page.  As such I've broken this section down into the following:

Airway & Breathing

Chest Seals

Hemostatic Agents

Miscellaneous (tape, gauze, etc.)

Tools (knives, scissors, etc.)

Tourniquets

Trauma and Compression Dressings

Load Carriage

Kits
